Coffee, cake and charity were the order of the day for employees and clients at serviced office provider Business Environment, as the company once again took part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Both clients and staff across Business Environment’s network of business centres in London and the south east, baked and sampled a selection of tasty treats throughout the morning, with Black Sheep Coffee fuelling the events. Those taking part also got the chance to show off their creative flare as they designed their own doughnuts, eventually raising a total of £1,248.74 for Macmillan, which supports families across the UK affected by cancer.
David Saul, Managing Director of Business Environment says: “Business Environment prides itself on its support of charities, which includes donating staff time to carry out voluntary work and this year funding two employees to take part in a two-week volunteering trip to Nepal. The Macmillan Coffee Morning was yet again a great success for a great cause and something our clients and employees should be very proud of.”
In 2013 154,000 people signed up to coffee morning, raising a record £20 million for charity. As well as supporting the one in three people who will get cancer in their lifetime, Macmillan also works to improve the cancer care system in the UK.
