        Modern Slavery Statement

Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Statement

        OPENING STATEMENT FROM SENIOR MANAGEMENT

The BE Offices group of companies (BE) is dedicated to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking from taking place within its business and supply chain and we place the same expectation on our suppliers.

BE’s values and business model exemplify our attitude to treating others as we would like to be treated and investing in our internal service quality. Therefore, BE absolutely believes that human rights should be a universal standard and thus opposes all forms of slavery, human trafficking, forced labour or child labour, and will not conduct business with any organisation that does not promote this ethos.

BE has a number of policies that are relevant to minimise the risk of modern slavery in our supply chain.

        STRUCTURE AND SUPPLY CHAINS

BE is a UK based organisation within the flexible workspace sector.

BE acts as a parent company and employs 337 people in the UK. The following weblink provides more information regarding the nature of our business www.beoffices.com.

The nature of our business requires that we work in conjunction with a range of suppliers who provide products and services essential and complementary to the business lifecycle.

POLICIES RELATING TO SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING

The following policies exist within our organisation and demonstrate our opposition to modern slavery:

Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy which confirms our commitment to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and requires staff to carry out due diligence of suppliers.

Whistleblowing Policy which encourages staff to report any concerns they may have and advises them on how to report these concerns.

Anti-Corruption and Anti-Bribery Policy which confirms BE’s commitment to working in an honest and ethical manner, as well as reiterating our zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption.

We make our suppliers aware of our policies and expect them to adopt the same standards.

DUE DILIGENCE PROCESSES RELATING TO SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING

As part of our efforts to monitor, manage and reduce the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring within our business or supply chains, we have adopted the following due diligence procedures:

        • Ensuring, to the best of our abilities, that our suppliers have policies in place to demonstrate ethical business practices
        • Periodic salary audit processes by management, and in line with minimum wage regulations, we conduct regular pay reviews.

        Our processes aim to:

        • Identify, monitor and manage areas of potential risk in our business and supply chains
        • Scrutinise any identified areas of risk within our business and supply chains
        • Adopt a zero-tolerance approach to slavery and human trafficking throughout the organisation and our supply chains
        • Provide support and protection from detriment or disadvantage to any person who, in the public interest, raises genuine concerns amounting to a protected disclosure.

        RISK AND COMPLIANCE

Our organisation regularly evaluates the nature and extent to which our business and our supply chains are exposed to the risk of modern slavery occurring.

Where we identify a potential risk within our supply chain, we take appropriate action to put remedial measures in place.

We adopt a zero-tolerance approach to slavery and human trafficking throughout the organisation which extends to our supply chains. We ensure that our suppliers are aware of our policies and encourage them to adopt our high standards. Upon the discovery of a breach of our policies relating to slavery and human trafficking we will terminate any relationship with the relevant supplier with immediate effect.

        CLIENTS

BE will not provide services to any business which it finds to be associated with slavery, forced labour, child labour or human trafficking and will immediately cease the provision of services to any client it identifies as being involved with or supporting such activities.

        TRAINING

We ensure that all employees are aware of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains. This training is conducted during the employee’s corporate induction. Through our training, employees are encouraged to identify and report any potential breaches of the ACT or suspicions of slavery, forced labour, child labour and human trafficking.

This training will be reviewed and updated on an ongoing basis.

         REVIEW

This statement will be reviewed on an annual basis. BE welcomes feedback in relation to this statement from clients, suppliers and stakeholders. This can be submitted to hr@beoffices.com
