BE Offices has for the second year running been recognised by Property Week as one of the best places to work in property.
Compiled by leading industry magazine Property Week a survey selected 52 real estate companies from across Britain as the best places to work in the sector, BE Offices again being chosen as one of them.
BE was selected for its strong emphasis on work/life balance together with generous paid leave, birthday days off for all employees and three extra paid charity days per year for volunteer work in the community, together with an annual family fun day.
Also cited were the onsite gym facilities in the majority of business centres to encourage wellness and the company’s stop smoking programme offering staff who want to quit £100 a year to spend on stop smoking aids along with a reward of £100 in vouchers for those who succeed for 6 months.
BE’s ‘GEMs’ (going the extra mile) award scheme was also highlighted, a programme allowing staff to nominate colleagues for exceptional work or actions for which they receive vouchers of their choice.
The list of progressive and exciting property companies was compiled by Best Companies Group on behalf of Property Week, subjecting businesses to rigorous employer and employee surveys and evaluating them across key metrics such as overall management, culture and communications, leadership and planning, work environment and more.
Another staff perk is the opportunity to enter a draw to take part in BE’s annual charity trip as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme. This year BE will fully fund two employees to take part in a two-week long charity trip to Belize to work on an award-winning reef conservation project. Since the programme began, employees have spent time volunteering overseas in a Cambodian orphanage, working with orphans and street children in Nepal and at an elephant and animal rescue centre in Thailand.
