X-Factor judge surprises Rays of Sunshine Wish Choir at rehearsal for fundraising concert
Ex-Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger was warmly welcomed to BE Offices’ Wembley business centre recently when she surprised the Rays of Sunshine Wish Choir who were rehearsing there for the Rays of Sunshine annual fundraising concert.
The Wish Choir, made up of 16 children who have previously had their wishes granted by the charity, knew that would be singing with Nicole on the night of the concert, but they had no idea that she would turn up at the rehearsal
Nicole was inspired to take part in the event after she met eight-year-old wish child Ella, from Lancashire, who is currently living with renal failure. Ella’s wish had been to sing ‘Don’t Stop Believin’ to Simon Cowell.
There are some 49,000 children and young people living in the UK with a serious or life-limiting illness.
Rays of Sunshine exists to grant wishes to such children giving them the opportunity to experience happiness and put their illness on hold, if only for a day.
The charity was co-founded by BE Offices’ managing director David Saul and has its offices at BE’s Wembley business centre on Olympic Way.
