Having fun should be the top priority in offices and serviced offices around the UK – particularly as the employment and economic situation looks so uncertain.
According to business expert and chief executive officer of Maya Asset Management Victoria Brannen, creating a happy office space will help to reduce staff stress and boost employees’ state of mind.
Writing for HR magazine, she said that once morale has been lifted, business owners will see productivity improve as people get more creative with their business solutions.
She said: “A sense of belonging can be borne into your company from the bonds formed between colleagues.”
Ms Brannen added: “Laughter at the right time can be just what the doctor ordered and continue to play a very important role in your day-to-day business.”
Recently, Vicky Oliver, author of 301 Smart Answers to Tough Business Etiquette Questions, claimed that office space parties are a great way to bring previously unconnected members of staff together on a more social level.
