According to estate agency Douglas &Gordon, London is what experts call a ‘global leader’, ranking alongside the likes of New York and Tokyo, and while emerging markets may be becoming more popular they still have a long way before they can match London for safety, travel links and culture.
“I think it will be a long time before London is overtaken as what I describe as a global leader,” commented the company’s director Ed Mead.
Recently, the Federation of Small Businesses stated that London is the place to be for new companies as it has a great reputation as a business centre.
Matthew Jaffa, the federation’s London senior development manager, said that the strong transport links are a massive bonus for aspiring businesspeople.
