Shared and serviced offices in London, Bristol and Milton Keynes will be among the 43,000 people who take part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on Friday.
Last year over £8 million was raised by the annual event, which sees people holding coffee mornings in their place of work or community and making donations to the cancer charity.
Over the years it has evolved and the coffee mornings get more and more inventive with everything from rate my cake competitions to world records being attempted, like the most distant coffee morning which was held in Antarctica in 2002.
With more people than ever being diagnosed with cancer and surviving, Macmillan Cancer Support provide practical, medical and financial help to both cancer patients and their families.
One in three people will develop cancer with the most common form being prostate cancer in the UK, followed by lung cancer.
