Having a real passion for your job is the key to career success, suggests Gallo Communications.
The company said that those feeling “stuck in a rut” in their current position would be better off finding a new job, new company “brand or product” that will allow them to express themselves to their full potential.
Carmine Gallo, who founded the organisation, said: “If you are too stifled in your current position and you have certain areas of expertise or a passion for something that you would like incorporate into your business or into your role that you are not allowed to, that is only going to lead to career frustration.”
He added that although success in the workplace can be achieved without the need to be passionate, most people preferred to “create some kind of meaning in their lives”.
A recent survey by Accountemps has revealed that 42 per cent of chief financial officers have noticed an improvement in employee morale in the last 12 months.
