Employers need to advertise an attractive benefits package as well as a good salary in order to attract interest from the best candidates, for their jobs in office space in Milton Keynes and the rest of the UK.
That is the advice of Matt Duffy, partnerships manager at consultancy Lorica.
He added that increasing job availability involved attracting the right people, which meant that the process was about a lot more than just offering a good salary, instead recruiters should show a more rounded idea of the value of the job.
Mr Duffy said: “[Employers] need to communicate their benefits more effectively, so if they already have a generous benefits package then they need to communicate the total reward when they are making an offer to a candidate. It’s not just about how much the basic salary is – it is shouting about all those other great things that they do.”
Online recruitment website Monster revealed last month that it had seen a 14 per cent increase in online job activity year-on-year.
