          Taking out a serviced office enables companies to fully concentrate on what they do best – doing business, it has been claimed.

          Writing for the Jakarta Post, Sudibyo M Wiradji said business leaders can remove a lot of additional cost and hassle by sourcing office space in this way.

          Rather than finding commercial property and then equipping their office from scratch, companies can simply move into fully furnished office spaces, he explained.

          This means that employers and their staff simply need to turn up to work and concentrate on working as productively as possible, Mr Wiradji suggested.

          He noted that “everything is taken care of” by the property manager, including furnishings, networking, utilities and cleaning.

          And companies may have the flexibility to rent additional space as and when required, allowing them to grow at their natural rate.

          Selecting a serviced office

          Businesses have the option of using serviced offices in a variety of locations.

          They should consider a number of factors such as prestige, proximity to customers and cost before signing up for an appropriate facility.

          Mr Wiradji said it is important to acquire a serviced office in the right location, as this will help drive business going forwards.

          The building should also be ready to support modern IT solutions – for instance have high-speed or super-fast connectivity – with other facilities such as training and meeting rooms also available.

          A good first impression

          Many serviced offices will have a permanent receptionist who mans the front desk – and it is important they present the company in the best possible light.

          “The attention to detail includes making sure the very first interaction clients have with office personnel is pleasant,” Mr Wiradji noted.

          He said that receptionists must act professionally at all times, as they may be the first point of contact for people dealing with the serviced office user.
