Team building is great for new companies

Office space team building is ideal for new companies as it can help employees overcome social barriers.

According to the Institute for Employment Studies (IES), while teambuilding exercises shouldn’t be seen as an excuse to have a serviced office space social, they are great for engaging staff members and getting people talking.

IES’s associate director Penny Tamkin said businesses should set out clear goals prior to any teambuilding event and make sure they have been met by the time the session draws to a close.

“If you just think it’s ‘a nice thing to do’ then you are probably going to be a bit wide of the mark in terms of it having any impact,” she said.

Ms Tamkin added: “It’s [particularly] helpful if, for whatever reason, a team just isn’t getting on.

“It could be that people have got off on the wrong foot.”

Recently, Carole Spiers, chief executive of the Carole Spiers Group, claimed that office fruit is another great way for businesses to engage with employees.
