Workers in shared and serviced offices may be worried about the fate of their office Christmas party this year, as some companies are shrinking their budgets due to the economic climate.
It is still important to maintain staff morale and a sense of team spirit during these hard times and members of corporate event management companies and party planners gathered for the Great Christmas Party Debate at BMA House to discuss the issue.
They have found that 95 per cent of enquiries have been for party packages of £50 per head and said that 41 per cent of the audience did not feel motivated about the prospect of this year’s office party.
More and more companies are turning to unconventional party ideas in order to cut down on the budget or sharing office parties with other companies or businesses to get discounts.
