Data collection firm Connotate is seeking to boost its European business by moving into a new London office, it has been announced.

The company will run its European operations from the new headquarters in the capital, as it plots expansion across the continent.

Connotate says the move will help it better serve a range of top-tier customers, who include Interactive Data, Precise, Reed Business and Thomson Reuters.

Keith Cooper, chief executive officer at the firm, said opening a London office is “an important milestone” for Connotate.

He claimed it is testament to the truly global appeal of its product to meet an increasing demand for data collection around the world.

“As the first of several planned initiatives for expanded international operations, our new presence in Europe will help us work more closely with existing customers,” Mr Cooper stated.

He added that an office presence in the UK capital will also help forge relationships with new clients and partners, allowing the company to target international growth.

In a study conducted by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) and KMPG, almost nine in ten businesses said they thought London is a ‘good’ or ‘very good’ place to do business.

Sara Parker, regional director of the CBI, claimed that London is a “great place” for businesses to establish a presence.

“Companies view the city’s talent pool, ease of access to global markets and proximity to clients as the capital’s biggest strengths,” she noted.
