Fundraising tastes better at BE Offices with £3,000 raised for cancer charity
For the sixth consecutive year, clients and staff at BE Offices’ portfolio of business centres across the City, Central and Greater London and across the South East took time out on Friday 29th September for the 3 C’s, cake, coffee and charity, to help raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Life with cancer is still life, and Macmillan exist to help cancer sufferers live it. Right from the moment of diagnosis, through treatment and beyond, Macmillan are a constant source of support, giving sufferers the energy and inspiration to help them take back control of their life, and feel more like themselves again.
The money raised through the generosity of BE Offices’ clients could pay for 14 days of a Macmillan nurse helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support.
The Friday doughnut run is weekly highlight at BE Offices’ award-winning serviced offices but on the day of Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, clients were invited to decorate their doughnuts or take part in the Great BE Bake Off by bringing in a cake they had made themselves at home.
In a blind taste test cakes were sampled by elected judges and the baker of the winning cake was awarded a Macmillan cake slice and mug together with the kudos of being ‘Star Baker’.
In all a record breaking £2606.77 was raised across 16 business centres with BE Offices making up the difference to donate a total of £3,000 to this very worthy cause.
