2016 – BE’s Macmillan Coffee Morning raises £2,500
For the fifth consecutive year, staff and clients at BE Offices’ network of business centres across the City, Central and Greater London and across the South East took time out on Friday 30th September to help raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support with the 3 C’s, cake, coffee and charity!
There are now 2.5 million people in the UK living with cancer. By 2030, it will be 4 million people, and Macmillan wants to be there for them all.
The money raised through the generosity of BE Offices’ clients could pay for 12 days of a Macmillan nurse helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support.
The Friday doughnut run is weekly highlight at BE Offices’ award-winning serviced offices but on the day of Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, clients are invited to decorate their doughnuts or take part in the Great BE Bake Off by bringing in a cake they have made themselves at home.
In a blind taste test cakes were sampled by elected judges and the baker of the winning cake was awarded a Macmillan apron and the kudos of being ‘Star Baker’.
In all a record breaking £2338.66 was raised across 16 business centres with BE Offices making up the difference to donate a total of £2,500 to this worthy cause.
