State of the art office space at one of Leeds’ most famous spots is due for completion this week.
Tower Works, well-known for its three listed Italian-style chimneys, has been redeveloped by Creative Space Management Ltd after securing £19.8 million worth of investment from regional development agency Yorkshire Forward
The revamped premises will include 18,000 sq ft of offices and studio space for digital and media companies and looks out on to a public square next to the Leeds-Liverpool canal.
In 1981 the factory, situated on Water Lane, closed down and the empty premises fell into decline.
The project forms part of the Holbeck Urban Village development, which includes Yorkshire’s tallest building, Bridgewater Place, and the Brewery Wharf area, which was given a RIBA award for creative space at the Housing Design Awards this summer.
