The wellbeing of BE Offices clients has always been of paramount importance to us and next week we are very proud to be launching our new wellness, health and fitness platform, BE Fit!
All clients will be invited to become a member, totally free of charge, making world-class, on-demand exercise programmes accessible to everyone and providing a convenient way to workout, anywhere, anytime!
With over 1,500 classes to choose from, delivered by experienced instructors, there’s a workout waiting for every member, at a time to suit them. Classes include yoga, Pilates, boxing, cardio, stretch and recovery, boot camp, dance, meditation, breathing and wellbeing tips plus more, all on-demand.
This web-based portal allows exercisers to stream their choice of virtual club-quality exercise class to any internet-enabled device, so they can workout whenever they choose, for however long they have available, wherever they are – at home, in the office, on holiday, working abroad… or even on their commute!
As well as regular fitness classes, the platform includes the perfect release and help for those stuck at their desks all day, with 2 – 10 minute sessions ranging from desk stretch, neck and shoulder and hand and wrist release, seated desk posture, morning/lunchbreak energiser workouts, to guided meditations, walks and movement to fit in even on the way to a business meeting! Tips on topics such as healthy cooking and eating, skin nutrition and energy boosting are also available.
Absenteeism is a huge challenge in the world of business: in 2016, a study published in the Lancet estimated that billions of pounds was being lost to the global economy every year as a result of diminished workforce productivity. The good news is that it has been proven that employees are more productive at work, and take less time off sick, if they’re physically active. We all know how important it is to stay fit and healthy to maintain a positive mindset, but we must also contemplate how exercising can increase our productivity. It is believed that regular fitness not only boosts your mood and improves your health, but it can also help with your attention to detail and focus in the workplace too.
So how can your business ensure its employees are engaged in health and performance-boosting physical activity? Subsidised gym membership can be an option, but this won’t appeal to everyone: some people simply aren’t comfortable exercising in a gym environment, or feel they don’t have the time. The key is to make being active unintimidating and more convenient for people, putting the opportunities quite literally into the palms of their hands. That means embracing digital channels – in particular, the internet-enabled devices people carry with them, so they can access workout and wellbeing inspiration, advice and guidance anytime, anywhere.
There is now certainly no excuse to not ‘BE Fit’ if you’re a BE Offices client!
