Serviced office space flexibility is becoming increasingly important as employees demand more from their employers.
According to Work Wise UK, the advent of flexible working practices has, in many ways, brought staff and their managers closer together.
Despite the huge amount of recent economic turmoil, Work Wise UK claimed that the impact of job losses had been mitigated to a large extent by improvements to flexible working practices.
Phil Flaxton, chief executive officer of Work Wise UK, said: “I think this time around we have seen a greater willingness by both employers and employees to work together to be more flexible in order to avoid massive redundancies.”
He added that, as a result, the current recession is entirely different to those experienced in the “70s, “80s and “90s.
Lecturer in education and economics at the Lancaster University Management School Colin Green recently told HR Magazine that flexible jobs are much more commonplace in western nations than they were in the past.
