Our 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways goes down a treat with clients

With in-person Christmas parties off the agenda, we didn’t want our clients to miss out on end-of-year festivities so decided to end our much acclaimed 2020 virtual events programme with our 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways.

Running since 3rd December BE Offices, &Offices, BE.Spoke and Headspace clients have been invited each day to join in the festive fun with all manner of activities from picture puzzles to caption competitions, best dressed pet to best dressed tree, with a chance each day to win prizes ranging from Amazon vouchers to a Hotel Chocolat Hamper.

We’ve been overwhelmed with the response from clients and both amazed and amused by the creativity for some of our challenges.

Day 1 was a picture puzzle solved first by Oliver Kenner of Quinta Law at Headspace Farringdon, who received a £25 Amazon voucher. On Day 2 Melissa Pay from Sharp Talent, a Headspace client in Southampton won the Hotel Chocolat Hamper with her caption for this image:

“Daddy did see Mummy kissing Santa Claus!

On Day 3 it was hard to choose a winner from all the creative Christmas craft images we received but Russell Rhodes of ASOS in our Somerset House building in Birmingham stole the show with the sleigh he built for his son, complete with headlight. Russell won a box of Christmas goodies for his efforts, while his son is no doubt desperate for some snow so he can try out his new mode of transport.

Russell fought off very tough competition from Quinta Law however with their amazing pantomime horse, not to mention the entry from our very own Milton Keynes centre manager, John Edwards with his incredible NHS themed tree decorations.

On Day 4 Asha Trimble from Orange, based at our Paddington centre won our Christmas cracker joke with the following corker which would never have been amusing in any other year:

“Why couldn’t Mary and Joseph join in their work’s conference call? …. Because there was no Zoom at the inn.”

On Day 5 we invited clients to send in images of their festive pets. The winner was Donna Zanotto of Blaser Mills, a client at our Cheapside building, with a pic of her adorable Mr B aka Bailey who has now been immortalised in a jigsaw puzzle for her owner.

Day 6 was anagram day, with Ashley Taheri-Kadkhoda of Orange in Paddington, extremely quick off the mark to solve them, winning a £25 Amazon voucher. (Answers are at the bottom of the page if you want a go).

On Day 7 we joined in with Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day inviting clients and staff to send in pics of themselves in their favourite Christmas jumper. We donated £5 for every image we received and with entries from Belfast to Southampton and everywhere in between, we were delighted to be able to make a donation of £125 to Save the Children as a result.

The best Christmas themed bake on Day 8 was won by BE.Spoke client William Hitchinson from EY in Southampton, he sent in this mouth watering  image of his gingerbread house and won a box of Christmas cookies.

On Day 9 we were looking for the best dressed tree. Anthony James-Smith from X-Forces in Birmingham went ‘out of this world’ with his Star Wars themed creation and won a bottle of his favourite spirit.

Our quest on Day 10 was to find the best Christmas lights and the winner came again from EY in Southampton with Stephanie Page’s beautifully decorated house.

Stephanie’s Belfast colleague Emma Craig won the Day 11 newsletter riddle and received a £25 Amazon voucher.

The final challenge was to create the best Christmas themed cocktail. The winner, with his Black Forest Martinis, was Henry Sze from Orange. He will receive six bottles of prosecco as his prize.

Well done to all our winners and may we take this opportunity to wish all our clients and staff a very safe and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
